The Scrappery CT - "Hello 15"

Lydia back today to start the year off with another layout.
This layout is a bit belated as this is about me turning 15 which was back in September, but I had to document it and I love how this collection works perfectly with birthdays an celebrations.

As I start to get low on my kits I knew I wanted to do a birthday layout using them. I didn't use many embellishments as I wanted the big cake in the background to be the main focus. I did however do a few small clusters.

Here is on of the clusters which I did with the title "Hello 15".

Now when I first saw these wood veneer candles I had no idea how I was going to use them, but what a perfect way to use them on the top of the cake. I really love this feature of the layout.

And lastly another cluster in the top corner.

I hope you all have a wonderful first day of 2017 and maybe even get in some scraping.

Hello 2017....

Happy New Year friends. It's a new year so that means new goals for 2017. First of all I would like to do a little introduction for my new readers here at Lydia's Craft & Creations.

I’m Lydia Gibson, a 15 year old creative teenager who has a huge passion in documenting her every day. I live with my mum, dad and younger sister in a small country town in south-east Queensland, Australia. I was first introduced to the scrapbooking industry at a young age from my scrapbooking mum, starting with stamping and that’s how I got to what I love to do today. I currently love to document my everyday through my love of photography with Project Life, Traditional 12x12 layouts, Mixed Media and lots more. I am currently on wo design teams. I am designing for Helmar and The Scrappery Kit Club. I have also previously been on five DT's as well as been Guest Designer for two company's and have also been featured in an online magazine and on a Podcast.

The two company's I am designing or in 2017 are:

Now for my goals for 2017. This coming year is big for me as it is the start of my final two years of high school so I am planning on FOCUSing more on that than my creative side. Although I will be doing a few more things this year on my blog (fingers crossed). Also with the word FOCUS in capital letters I have decided to continue with my OLW from last year for this year.

This year  will be FOCUSing on finishing my 2016 Project Life albums which I have come to the decision to have a PL Gap Year this year. I will continue PL in 2018 to document my final year of High School. I have also started something a little different and doing Stitch A Day on a embroidery hoop which I can't wait to see it at the end of the year. I will be mainly FOCUSing on 12x12 layouts this year.
My plan for my blog this year is that I am going to be blogging every Monday with my Design Team projects from The Scrappery that I post over on their blog every Sunday. I will also be blogging my Helmar projects the day after they have been posted over on their blog too.

So the schedule I will be implementing this year is:
Sunday - Stitch A Day: I will share my 7 stitches from the week with a blog post
Monday - The Scrappery Kit Club: I will share my weekly project that I have crated with The Scrappery Kits
I will share my Helmar projects too when it is my turn on heir blog.
I may even share the odd PL layout also.

And on the first of everyone I will have a blog post to look back on the previous month of my creations from that month. This with include 12x12 and maybe even some of my catch up 2016 Project Life.

So that my scrappy friends is my goal for my blog this year. Hopefully over the next two weeks before school goes back I can get in a routine of posting here. I will be back tomorrow to share my first Scrappery creation of the year from last week.

Hello scrappy peeps, Lydia back to share another layout using this months "Lilly" TSK and BPK. I am still in complete love with these kits.

Here is a close up of the title. I used a Cocoa Vanilla Studio wood veneer and one of the exclusive Corbett Creations chipboard words, which I pimped with some white gesso so that it had a white on white look.

The top left corner I added a few little embellishments including another Cocoa Vanilla Studio wood veneer, chipboard piece and one of the vellum shapes.

Behind my photo I didn't do any paper layering but I did add some sort of layering. I added on of the gorgeous paper doilies which comes in the kits and also added a frame type piece from the Cocoa Vanilla Studio chipboard sheet.

I also did a little bit of fussy cutting for those beautiful tiny florals off one of the papers. I added yet another Cocoa Vanilla Studio wood veneer and vellum shape.

Here is a photo of the main cluster about a quarter of the way from the bottom of the layout.

And lastly I added these cute blue Cocoa Vanilla Studio chipboard photo corners to the top right and bottom left corners of the whole layout.

Thank you for stoping by to have a peek at my layout and I hope you enjoyed.

Hello beautiful souls, Lydia back today to share a pair of cute cards I made using The Scrappery "Lilly" kit, which you can you can find in The Scrappery store here.

The kits I used was the TSK & BPK and since these had the Cocoa Vanilla Studio "Make A Wish" collection I thought I would make these cards as Birthday cards.

This is the first card and I love how it turned out even though it is simple for me.

I wasn't sure if I wanted to use that gorgeous camera flair as I loved it so much, but I did and I think it was the final element that finished the card.

I added one of the beautiful delicate doilies as a layer under the chipboard piece. I also added some of the vellum Cocoa Vanilla shapes of the leaves and flower.

Then I finished this card with a few of the sequins which came in the kit.

I have to say this next card isn't my favourite but I still like it.

I used a variety of products on this card with the chipboard frame an little flowers both from Cocoa Vanilla, a little butterfly chipboard piece from Corbett Creations, little tags, the Amy Tan Thickers which comes in the TSK and some sequins and enamel dots.

I am really liking added these silver striped thickers as I don't use silver as much as I use gold.

And as I mentioned before, I used some more of the sequins and enamel dots on this card.

That is it from me friends and I will be back very soon with another creation.

Hi there Scrappery fans, Lydia here to share my first creations as joining The Scrappery CT. I'm so excited to have received my first Scrappery kit last week that I just had to dive straight in and create a layout.

I totally fell in love with this months BPK & TSK 'Lilly' with lots of Cocoa Vanilla Studio products, you can find this months kits in The Scrappery Store. So for my first creation I decided to do a  12x12 layout using both the BPK & TSK 'Lilly' Kits. I decided to use this old selfie o myself because it worked perfectly with all the gorgeous florals in the kit.

I did a few layers behind my photo as well as added a glassine bag from the kit and one of the beautiful doilies.  My title I using one of the foam glitter word stickers from PinkFresh Studio and a wood veneer word from Cocoa Vanilla Studio.

Also added a beautiful pink mini tassel from Cocoa Vanilla which is in one of their embellishment packs in the kit.

An here is a close up o the few layers behind my photo with a sequins in which I added to add the final finishing touches to the layout.

Hope you all enjoyed my first creations as part of The Scrappery family and  can't wait to be back soon to share another creation using this months 'Lilly' kits.

So here is my final layout or their blog and I hope you enjoy.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello again friends, Lydia back again to share my last project using this month’s Blue Moon September Kit as the Guest Designer this month. I have loved creating with this kit and I cant wait to keep creating with it as I still have heaps of products left.
With this 12×12 layout I changed it up compared to my normal layouts and decided to do some white on white and mainly focused on the beautiful light purple which was in the kit. I’m in total love with how it turned out. I felt like I revealed my inner Suse Fish. The first thing I did on this layout was add some watercolour package technique using a very pale purple which you my not be able t0 see in the photo.

I then knew on this layout  wanted to use one of the beautiful flair that came in the kit, so I chose the beautiful purple one that says ‘that’ which I think is perfect for pointing at that silly Snapchat selfie of myself.

This layout I wanted to add some white on white layouts so I added a strip of tarred white cardstock and a white doily behind my photo. I also added some texture by using some embossing thread as a type of layer too.

14444672_1285909168140193_2609552964850375335_o

My title I knew I wanted to use this wood veneer that came in the kit so I added it to the bottom left of the photo.

14364653_1285908881473555_8904496637836204226_n

As you can see I also added some stamping as I loved the font of the stamp set that was included in this month’s kits. I also added a few of the PinkFresh puffy stickers and a few rhinestones give it a bit of a finishing touch.

14435136_1285909108140199_7627289621112840474_o

And lastly I did a little cluster in the top left corner with one of the exclusive chipboard pieces and one of the PinkFresh puffy stickers. Have I told you that I also love the gold puffy stickers that were also in this months kit?
