Here I am again with another blog post (I think I am going good with this). Today I am going to go through what my plans are for my PL and DLP. I am doing it a bit different this year as I am going to seperate them (last year I was doing DLP in 12x12 LO form with my single page PL in a album).
First off I will start off with my Project Life. This year my plan is to do double LO's instead of single (since I don't have my DLP in it and I will have another reason of Friday why I am doing double). One of my goals is to not pre plan any of the cards for each week unless I find like a title card challenge and another goal is to add more embellishments to my LO's as I am loving how other people's LO's are coming out with lots of embellishments and it still looks nice (not over done).
And since this year I don't have DLP in my album I was able to do a Project Life style front page.
For this front page I used Heidi Swapp Project Life 'Favourite Things' core kit, some of Heidi Swapp ephemera from the 'Hello Today' collection (I think), 4 little STudio Calico wood Potty People, Teresa Collins bling, KaiserCraft chip board numbers and some cheap stickers from Big W.
This year I am also keeping is simple with the same design page protector. I will be using Becky Higgins Design A.
Ok first I will explain DLP for people who don't known what it is. DLP is the Documented Life Project it is a mixed media art journal challenge. Every week there is a new challenge posted and you do that challenge any way you like. (If you want to find out more join the facebook group 'the documented life project 2015 - the journal' or head to The Art to The 5th blog/website.
Ok so my take on DLP is going to be how it is meant to be (in a art journal). The journal I am using isn't the recommended journal to use but you could use any art journal you liked. The journal I will be using is just a A5 size cheap spiral bound from the local newsagent. (Hopefully I will stay caught up this year).
So here is my front page for my journal. It uses water colour paints, stamps, Stax On ink and some Kaiser Craft Alpha Stickers.
Another project I will be working I this year is a Heidi Swapp Memory Planner. I have really wanted to do one but they were $20 so I never got one,but at the end of last year at SpotlightI found one for $10 and I got it so this year I am going to be working in it with looks of her products form the 'Hello Today' Collection.
Thing I will be using in this album are her Project Life cards, ephemera, stickers, stamps, her plastic alphs and hearts and other bits and pieces.
As you can see I have already started writing bits and pieces as I couldn't wait for 2015 to start.
I hope you enjoyed reading about my plans for 2015. If you want to leave a comment telling me what your plans are I would love to know.
Have a great day wherever you are in the world.
