Crafts of the Week - Week 3 of 2015

Hello hello everyone. I am a bit late as I wanted to do my crafts of the week every Thursday. So here are the creations I have been up to this week.

So on Saturday night there is a Scrap and Chat on The Scrappery facebook page and this is the LO I scrapped. I used the beautiful Maggie Holmes Open Book collection Emphema, stickers, the grey 6x6 paper and some cheap vellum from the $1 store. If you haven't heard of The Scrappery pop on over to their FB page, blog, YouTube.

I worked on my week 3 Documented Life Project page.

I am loving writing down in my Heidi Swapp memory planner. I love how thoses cute Studio Calico Geo Tage wood veneers add a bit of cuteness to the days I have nothing to write about.

A PL card to go in my Heidi Swapp Memory Planner photo pockets. I love how this turned out.

Super super cute I think. Love how I made the words look like they are coming out of the Studio Calico wood veneer camera.

I got the best Happy Mail from one of my fellow DT Junkies member Lisa. I seriously can't wait to use all these goodies in this week's PL.
Here is a sneak at one of the cards in this Week's PL LO using mostly goodies Lisa gave me, except the Black alphas.

So I hope you all had a creative week and are able to do some more creating over the weekend. It's very Rainy here in Queensland, Australia at the moment but is the perfect weather to create inside.

Have a great weekend. :)

Papertrenz Catch Up 17-1-2015

Hey everyone. I hope you are all having a great weekend. It is so hot here in Queensland Australia. It is around 35-37 degrees right now. I am currently sitting inside with the air con on :). So it is hot hot hot.

Any how I just wanted. To do a blog post as we took a trip to the big smoke (Brisbane) and we popped into the wonder and awesome Papertrenz. Papertrenz is a awesome scrappbooking shop at Wynum QLD. If you are in Australia you go to their website and you can order things online. Or you could go in store but I am warning you now if you do go in store you will want to take the whole shop home. Lol
Here is their website - http://www.papertrenz.com.au
Also check out their Facebook page.

So while we were there we had a wonderful catch up with one of many beautiful and hard working ladies Sharlene. Funny story short, I walked up the stairs to the shop and the first thing Sharlene says is 'We have a famous person in the store' lol. On the first trip in we totally forgot about getting a photo. So on the way home we stopped back in just to get a photo.

Here are some of the photos.

And a funny one lol.

I did buy some goodies while at the store. I bought the beautiful Maggie Holmes Floral Emphema pack and a packet of Studio Calico wood veneer Geo Tags.

I hope you all finish off the weekend off crafting. Have a great day :).

The Creative Space

Hey everyone, today I thought I would share my creative space where I do all my arts and crafts.

So here is where I do all my magic. This area is from my window to my door. As I am only 13 years old this area is in my bedroom. This area was custom made to fit this area. Also as you can see the colour combo is Pink, Blue and white (my favourite colours).

This is my pin board. Before I got my new desk this was just a plain board and I painted it to my colour scheme. On my pin board I have my calendar, some of my favourite photos, and some other decorations. The photos up the top are taken by myself and they were from a exhibition I participated in..
So on the desk I have a big cutting mat. This is were I do most of my creating. I have my paint brushes, pens, rubbish container and a few more other things.

Here are some close ups of what I just mentioned. Here I have my camera money box, a blue container with my Maggie Holmes Open Book ephemera.

Here are my most used stationary.

This wooden pencil box I made in my first year at high school in manual arts (last year, 2014). In here I store my art pen I use for Project Life, date stamp, corner punches, mini stapler, eraser, and my CTMH glue pen.

In this container I store my normal biros, paint brushes, siccors, paper cutting knife, rulers, water color brushes.

These are the pens I use for my Project Life. And some more close ups of what is in my pencil box.

Then we go onto my shelves. These shelves my dad made using old bed slats.

This is what I store on the second row from the bottom.
In this little container I store all my double sided tapes and foam.
(My sticky notes for Project Life)

In these pink containers I store lots of bits and pieces like , 6x6 paper pads, some stamps, sn@p, flails, alpha stickers.

In these 2 little boxes I store my non BH PL cards. (These boxes I found at Lincraft in clearance).

This is a round one of those blue containers. In here I store all of my twine.

And in this one I store my wood veneers.

Third row from the bottom I store my inks, sprays, and few of my stamps.

And the top shelve I store my mixed media supplies such as , gesso, wipes, glue.

And at the bottom of the shelves I have all my Project Life kits. Also in that page protector box is the start of my 2015 album as I don't have a alum as of yet.

Now onto my second set of shelves.

We're I store my washi.

My art journals and albums.

And my stats and odd stickers and embellishments.

I hope you liked this very very quick over view of where I Create.
I hope you all have a great day. :)

Crafts of the Week - Week 2 of 2015

Hi !!
I had planned on sharing what I had been doing last week but didn't end up doing it so I am going to start right now. I hope to have a post like this every week of the crafts and bit and pieces I have been up to.

This week I got my photos printed for week 1 of 2015 to do my first page in my Project Life.
Here is a sneak.

I don't want to share any layouts as I don't know what layout I am going to use for my DT post. But if there are any I know I don't won't for the DT post I will definitely post them. And I will also give you a sneak at the layout.

I also found a new idea to make your own Thickers on the "Project Life Junkies" Facebook group. A lady posted it and I loved the idea so I had to try it.
All you need are some dies and craft foam. I loved how they turned out.
I love this idea as I always go to the Thicker section at Spotlight and admire them all. I just think they are expensive at $7- $8 a packet.

I finally got the Rhonna Design apps as I have always wanted them. I LOOOOOVE them.
Here is my first creation I did. (I also need up buying a few packs because I loved them)

And then yesterday I had a idea that I can now make my own Project Life filler cards with the apps too.

And to make a 3x4 card I just use the Becky Higgins Project Life app to collage 2 cards together and then print and cut in half.

Last but not least I have been having fun filling up my first Heidi Swapp memory planner. This is the older planner not the one she has just released.

I have also added some photos to the pocket page too this week. So I can't wait to see what the end result is at the end of the month.

I hope you all have a lovely day.
Happy Crafting :)

2015 Projects -Project Life, DLP and Heidi Swapp Memory Planner

Here I am again with another blog post (I think I am going good with this). Today I am going to go through what my plans are for my PL and DLP. I am doing it a bit different this year as I am going to seperate them (last year I was doing DLP in 12x12 LO form with my single page PL in a album).

First off I will start off with my Project Life. This year my plan is to do double LO's instead of single (since I don't have my DLP in it and I will have another reason of Friday why I am doing double). One of my goals is to not pre plan any of the cards for each week unless I find like a title card challenge and another goal is to add more embellishments to my LO's as I am loving how other people's LO's are coming out with lots of embellishments and it still looks nice (not over done).

And since this year I don't have DLP in my album I was able to do a Project Life style front page.
For this front page I used Heidi Swapp Project Life 'Favourite Things' core kit, some of Heidi Swapp ephemera from the 'Hello Today' collection (I think), 4 little STudio Calico wood Potty People, Teresa Collins bling, KaiserCraft chip board numbers and some cheap stickers from Big W.

This year I am also keeping is simple with the same design page protector. I will be using Becky Higgins Design A.

Ok first I will explain DLP for people who don't known what it is. DLP is the Documented Life Project it is a mixed media art journal challenge. Every week there is a new challenge posted and you do that challenge any way you like. (If you want to find out more join the facebook group 'the documented life project 2015 - the journal' or head to The Art to The 5th blog/website.

Ok so my take on DLP is going to be how it is meant to be (in a art journal). The journal I am using isn't the recommended journal to use but you could use any art journal you liked. The journal I will be using is just a A5 size cheap spiral bound from the local newsagent. (Hopefully I will stay caught up this year).

So here is my front page for my journal. It uses water colour paints, stamps, Stax On ink and some Kaiser Craft Alpha Stickers.

Another project I will be working I this year is a Heidi Swapp Memory Planner. I have really wanted to do one but they were $20 so I never got one,but at the end of last year at SpotlightI found one for $10 and I got it so this year I am going to be working in it with looks of her products form the 'Hello Today' Collection.

Thing I will be using in this album are her Project Life cards, ephemera, stickers, stamps, her plastic alphs and hearts and other bits and pieces.

As you can see I have already started writing bits and pieces as I couldn't wait for 2015 to start.

I hope you enjoyed reading about my plans for 2015. If you want to leave a comment telling me what your plans are I would love to know.

Have a great day wherever you are in the world.
