The Scrappery CT - "LOVE"

Good morning beautiful Scrappery peeps, Happy Sunday! Am I glad that it is the weekend and the first week down of school. This past week I started Grade 11 so it's been quite crazy. But today I am sharing another 12x12 layout using the December "Nigella" kits.

I had seen someone cut this constellation paper into the circle and I loved it so I decided to use that, add my photo to the top right corner of the circle and add a floral cluster down in the bottom left corner.

I love adding a little bit of texture with some whit thread behind my photo and clusters, because you all know I love clusters haha.

Now at first I wasn't to fussed on the cork and gold glitter embellishment stickers. This was because I found they were chunky and big to what I am compared to what I like to use but I really like the contrast of the cork brown against the navy blue.

This layout defiantly isn't the clean and white space type of layout I love to create but I knew I had to change it up a bit to use this constellation paper. So in the bottom left corner on the edge of the circle and the little white space I had I added some fussy cut florals and some small embellishments to form a cluster to make the layout balanced.

I added two of the beautiful puffy stickers, some washi from the washi sheets, a label and the pink butterfly rub-on.

And to finish the layout off I added some of the KaiserCraft gold splatters using the spray that came in the TCK (The Colour Kit). I hope you all like this layout and I will be back next week for another layout.

The Scrappery CT - "Dream"

It's Sunday, which means another layout from me. Today I am using the new "Nigella" kits again which as I have mentioned before I am in love with.

So here is this weeks layout. This weeks layout I feature the gorgeous die cut 12x12 sheet this is in the kit. Now this has a bright mint colour ide and the white side, I personally liked the white on white look.

I love, love these Pink Paislee "Moonstruck" cork words and shapes, so I decided to use the dream as my title. And I love how these cork embellishments have gold glitter in them too. I also added a little puffy sticker under the title also.

Now you all know I love my little clusters. I used some of the "Moonstruck" rub-on's and put them on some white cardstock and fussy cut them out so that they had more of a 3D look. I also added some of the beautiful gold sequins.

With this die cut 12x12 piece defiantly wanted to back the butterflies with some of the patterned paper. I love how the page just came together once I had backed some of the butterflies.

And last but not least another cluster up on the left hand side with a little tab, puffy sticker and some gold sequins.

I hope you have all started/have your new kits and be sure to share what you create over in the Facebook group.

Have a wonderful week ahead.

The Scrappery CT- "Myself & I"

Happy Sunday Scrappery friends. I hope you are all hopefully having a creative day. So today I am back to share another layout using the new "Nigella" December kits. Now I have to say this would have to be my favourite kits so far because I absolutely LOVE these kits and the layouts I am producing with them.

Here is my layout.

I love these kits so much that I have been using all photos of me on my layouts as these colours in the kits are just so me. I did add my own thickers from my stash to add a bit of with the gold glitter.

I finally got my little mixed media groove on and added some of the gorgeous Heidi Swapp Silver Metallic Texture Paste which comes in the brand new TCK "The Colour Kit. Now I am not one for silver and gold together but I love how this added a nice feature to the layout with the bit of gold also.

Now these gold paperclips are to die for. I think I have used one on every layout. But I though it would be a cute feature to add it to look like it is holding that gorgeous "Moonstruck" collection puffy sticker to my photo and photo layers. I also added some of the washi tape strips as well as some of the Kaisercraft Rhinestones.

I added some gold rub-on stars also from the kits to add a little something to the layout.

This tiny embellishment cluster at the bottom of the layout is using the beautiful washi tape shapes. I love how translucent they are and how soft they look on he layout.

And to finish it off I add a cluster at the bottom of the page with some washi stickers and a rub-on. Also added a mini puffy sticker and some more of the Kaisercraft Rhinestones.

I hope you love this layout as much as I do and make sure to share your creations using the "Nigella" kits over on the Scrappery FB group.

The Scrappery CT - "Carpe Diem"

Hey everyone Lydia here to share my first creation using the new December 'Nigella' kits.

I am so excited to have received my new kits this week to sharing off the creating for 2017.
With these kits came the brand new TCK 'The Colour Kit' which is perfect for all you mixed media fans. In the projects I will be sharing in the next few weeks I will e using the TSK, BPK and the TCK.

Here is my first creation. I am so in love with these kits which are full to the brim with Pink Paislee "Moonstruck" collection.

What not to title my layout "Carpe Diem" to seize the day. Also how cute is that gold bow?
Now I have to admit when the scrapbooking companies started bringing out the washi booklets/sheets I wasn't too fussy, but now I love them. You get s many different little washi strips and shapes and they are perfect for all projects.

How could I not add more of the shiny gold to this layout especially this gold leaf lace which is also  the kit as well as those gorgeous delicate paper doilies.

Now I can't remember the last time I used a rub-on but it felt so good to use one. That beautiful floral is from the "Moonstruck" rub-on pack which is in the BPK. I also added a few gold and black sequins to finish the page off a bit.

And I added more gold..... This beautiful gold Kaisermist which is included in the new TCK was perfect for this layout. Also did a little cluster up in the top left corner to bring the page together.

That my scrappy friend is the first layout for you. I can't wait to hear when you ll start to receive your kits and get creating with them.

The Scrappery CT - "Hello 15"

Lydia back today to start the year off with another layout.
This layout is a bit belated as this is about me turning 15 which was back in September, but I had to document it and I love how this collection works perfectly with birthdays an celebrations.

As I start to get low on my kits I knew I wanted to do a birthday layout using them. I didn't use many embellishments as I wanted the big cake in the background to be the main focus. I did however do a few small clusters.

Here is on of the clusters which I did with the title "Hello 15".

Now when I first saw these wood veneer candles I had no idea how I was going to use them, but what a perfect way to use them on the top of the cake. I really love this feature of the layout.

And lastly another cluster in the top corner.

I hope you all have a wonderful first day of 2017 and maybe even get in some scraping.

Hello 2017....

Happy New Year friends. It's a new year so that means new goals for 2017. First of all I would like to do a little introduction for my new readers here at Lydia's Craft & Creations.

I’m Lydia Gibson, a 15 year old creative teenager who has a huge passion in documenting her every day. I live with my mum, dad and younger sister in a small country town in south-east Queensland, Australia. I was first introduced to the scrapbooking industry at a young age from my scrapbooking mum, starting with stamping and that’s how I got to what I love to do today. I currently love to document my everyday through my love of photography with Project Life, Traditional 12x12 layouts, Mixed Media and lots more. I am currently on wo design teams. I am designing for Helmar and The Scrappery Kit Club. I have also previously been on five DT's as well as been Guest Designer for two company's and have also been featured in an online magazine and on a Podcast.

The two company's I am designing or in 2017 are:

Now for my goals for 2017. This coming year is big for me as it is the start of my final two years of high school so I am planning on FOCUSing more on that than my creative side. Although I will be doing a few more things this year on my blog (fingers crossed). Also with the word FOCUS in capital letters I have decided to continue with my OLW from last year for this year.

This year  will be FOCUSing on finishing my 2016 Project Life albums which I have come to the decision to have a PL Gap Year this year. I will continue PL in 2018 to document my final year of High School. I have also started something a little different and doing Stitch A Day on a embroidery hoop which I can't wait to see it at the end of the year. I will be mainly FOCUSing on 12x12 layouts this year.
My plan for my blog this year is that I am going to be blogging every Monday with my Design Team projects from The Scrappery that I post over on their blog every Sunday. I will also be blogging my Helmar projects the day after they have been posted over on their blog too.

So the schedule I will be implementing this year is:
Sunday - Stitch A Day: I will share my 7 stitches from the week with a blog post
Monday - The Scrappery Kit Club: I will share my weekly project that I have crated with The Scrappery Kits
I will share my Helmar projects too when it is my turn on heir blog.
I may even share the odd PL layout also.

And on the first of everyone I will have a blog post to look back on the previous month of my creations from that month. This with include 12x12 and maybe even some of my catch up 2016 Project Life.

So that my scrappy friends is my goal for my blog this year. Hopefully over the next two weeks before school goes back I can get in a routine of posting here. I will be back tomorrow to share my first Scrappery creation of the year from last week.
